Why the SaaS + Agency Status Quo is No Longer Enough

For the last decade, retail commerce followed a specific playbook: buy the best SaaS tools to get the data, and hire the best agencies to act on it.

It worked when digital commerce was a human-speed game. But the era of Algorithmic Retail has changed the rules. With higher SKU counts, more retailer platforms and complex retail media, the "reporting tax" on your teams has become unsustainable. Teams are drowning in dashboards, yet the thousands of repetitive, small-scale tasks required to win at retail are falling through the cracks because they simply don't scale.

The reality is that retail is moving faster than humanly possible. Shopping agents like Amazon’s Rufus and Walmart’s Sparky are already reshaping the path to purchase, generating an estimated $20 billion in sales this past year alone. In this environment, a dashboard that tells you what happened yesterday is a post-mortem, not a strategy.

We believe a new way forward is needed. That is why we have accelerated our investment in the AllyAI platform to move beyond "insights" and toward Agents that drive outcomes.

Today, I am proud to announce the launch of our Agentic Retail Platform, powered by four specialized AI Agents for Sales, Shelf, Media, and Content.

We designed them to handle the "grunt work" of commerce 24/7. By offloading critical but repetitive executions to AI, we are seeing our partners achieve results that were previously impossible:

  • Content: Shrinking PDP update cycles from 35 minutes to 35 seconds, ensuring your products are always PIM compliant and AEO/SEO-ready.
  • Media: Executing thousands of daily optimizations to drive true incrementality while slashing wasted spend.
  • Shelf: Delivering 10x more insight packs to local teams in minutes—not weeks—driving shelf scores up by as much as +14 points in a single quarter.
  • Sales: Moving beyond "why sales are off" to automated root-cause diagnosis and the exact strategic moves needed to close the gap.

This shift frees your teams to do what they do best: focus on strategic work. The future of commerce isn't about having more data; it’s about having more agency. We are proud to be leading this transition with you, moving from a system of record to a system of results.
